After marking, you can begin to mount the plasterboard partition wall.
When there is no doubt in the ideal quality of the markings, you can begin the process of fastening the guiding profiles for drywall. It is mounted to the very foundation with usual dowels (which are designed for «stone» different materials) or self-tapping screws (which are used for any wooden surfaces) and place them at a distance of 500 mm. Before installing the profile, be sure to adhere a special sealing tape to the side of the metal profile immediately adjacent to the base — this will give the entire structure sufficient stability. A quarter of the entire plasterboard partition, in fact, will already be assembled with just their own efforts.
Next in line is the installation of special mullion profiles. Using the scissors used in metal work, neatly cut off pieces from it to us of the desired length. While doing so, we must take into account that the most optimal length of any profile racks for drywall corresponds to the height of the entire room, minus 10 mm. This distance should be enough to mount without any possible problems the entire mullion profile directly to the guide profile. The stripes of the used mullion profile must go with a certain pitch, which is no more than 600 mm — these are the minimum requirements for excellent rigidity of the entire frame. It is fastened to the guide profile itself through the use of self-tapping screws for metal, and the fastening is obligatory on both sides. As a result of these simple actions the basic framework designed to create a modern drywall partition is assembled. If you want to make an additional niche of drywall in the wall, think about it in advance, even in the initial stage of creating the future layout of the room. After the frame itself for the partition from gypsum plasterboard is fully made, we can proceed directly to the installation of the sheets of ordinary gypsum plasterboard on the prepared frame. Since the plasterboard is quite heavy, you need help to install it, and you can hardly install it on the framework of the carcasses accurately and neatly on your own.
