In modern conditions, without the timely and high-quality delivery of building materials, it is impossible to imagine the construction of buildings for various purposes. In most cases today, the most common means of delivery is by car. As a rule, materials for construction are mainly transported from manufacturers directly to the construction site.
Construction cargo, as a rule, includes various materials, structures, parts, technological equipment, as well as cargo that occurs during the construction process itself. The most common is the supply of sand and gravel: optimastroy.
According to some features of the organization of loading and unloading operations, construction goods are divided into 4 groups. These are piece goods made of reinforced concrete, metal and wooden structures, technological equipment, as well as goods arising during the construction process and belonging to the first group.
The second group includes packaged, small-piece and packaging goods with a mass of not more than 50 kg. The third group consists of a variety of bulk building materials, and the fourth – various binders for construction.
Different types of construction materials require their own transportation requirements. Thus, the transportation of bricks occupies a special place among the transportation of other goods. In most cases, bricks are transported in packages (on pallets or without them), much less often in special containers. In the case of transportation of bricks in packages, its laying in the form of a “herringbone” and with cross dressing is used.
Timber and timber over 6 meters long are long loads, therefore, for their transportation, elongated platforms, trailers-dissolutions and extendable semi-trailers are used. Such materials are stacked on special logging horses with lashing chains located on top.
For unloading timber, the method of dump unloading is used, or for this purpose, outside mechanized means, such as manipulators, can be used, which can significantly reduce the cost of loading and unloading operations. Timber and timber products can be transported in bundles or transported in bulk.
