Currently, there are various types of ventilated facade designs on the market. Their main difference is the material used for the outer coating. Based on this, experts note that the most popular facades today are those with external cladding made of composite material, fiber cement or ceramic plates, natural granite or metal cassettes. All of them have their own special physical, technical and technological features, which should be considered in more detail.
The external coating of the ventilated facade in the form of a composite panel is a sandwich made of aluminum sheets with a protective layer applied to them and a special paint and varnish coating. Between the sheets there is a layer of heat-insulating polymer. Therefore, the ventilated façade with such an outer layer is light in weight, is not exposed to corrosion and UV rays, and is easy to install.
The outer layer of ventilated facades made of ceramic granite is a slab, for the manufacture of which artificial stone is used. The technology of their production involves pressing the substance at high temperature. The result is a material with high strength, durability and absolute water tightness.
In contrast, the natural granite coating is of natural origin, due to which the appearance of the building is given a respectable exterior and the design of an expensive building. A wide variety of natural colors makes this material unique, as well as a large number of processing and finishing options.
In addition, fiber cement boards (minerite) can be used for the manufacture of ventilated facades. This type of cladding material is obtained by pressing cement. During the production process, the material acquires frost-resistant, fire- and water-resistant properties, as well as the ability to withstand temperature extremes.
The easiest and most durable cladding for the facades of the ventilated type is metal cassettes. As its foundation, stainless steel or aluminum plates are used. To extend the service life of such plates, they have a surface polymer spraying.
